Advent Movement Child Safety Standards
Last updated: 2026-09-07
These standards apply to the Advent Movement Android app distributed through Google Play and its community interactions. The app is operated by Advent Ventures and is intended for adults aged 18 and over. Separate Advent Movement websites and supervised youth programs have their own eligibility rules; this notice does not change those rules.
Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation
Advent Movement prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including grooming, sextortion, sexual trafficking of children, attempts to obtain sexual content from a child, and any other conduct that sexually exploits, abuses, or endangers a child.
Users must not create, upload, store, request, distribute, link to, or otherwise facilitate access to child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Attempts to evade these standards are also prohibited.
An adult-only audience does not reduce or remove these child-safety obligations.
Reporting a concern
Users can open a conversation's actions menu in the Advent Movement app and select Report safety concern. The app prepares a report email containing the relevant user and conversation identifiers. Reports can also be sent to rob@bertholf.com.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. Do not download, copy, forward, or attach suspected CSAM to a report. Instead, preserve the account name, link, conversation identifier, date, time, and a description of where the material appeared.
Enforcement and legal obligations
Under these standards, child-safety reports must be assessed and suspected violations must be addressed in light of the available evidence. Violations may result in content restriction or removal, restricted access, or account suspension or termination.
Any legally required preservation of records, reporting of apparent CSAM, and cooperation with competent authorities must follow applicable law. Questions and requests concerning these obligations should be directed to the child-safety contact below. This contact is also the point of contact for Google Play about these standards.
Information supplied in a child-safety report must be limited to what is needed to assess the concern, protect users, enforce these standards, and comply with applicable legal obligations. Do not include suspected CSAM in an email.
