Delete your Advent Movement account

Advent Movement users can request deletion of their account and associated personal data either in the app or by email. This page applies to the Advent Movement app operated by Advent Ventures.

Delete your account in the app

1. Sign in to Advent Movement.
2. Open Profile and select Edit profile.
3. Scroll to Delete Account.
4. Select permanent deletion, enter the requested confirmation information, and confirm.

You will be signed out when the request succeeds.

Request deletion without the app

Email rob@bertholf.com with the subject Advent Movement account deletion request. Send the request from the email address associated with your Advent Movement account and include the account name. Do not send your password.

We may ask for additional information needed to verify account ownership. You can use this email route even if you have uninstalled the app or cannot sign in. You may also use it to ask about the status or scope of a deletion request.

Account deletion and retained information

Permanent account deletion removes the account record and revokes its access tokens. Deactivation is a separate, reversible option and does not mean that your personal data has been permanently deleted.

Some information can remain after account deletion. For example, messages in shared conversations can remain with the deleted account no longer linked as their sender. A deletion record can retain the reason and any notes supplied with the request, together with limited operational information.

There is currently no scheduled automatic purge of retained messages or deletion records. These records may be retained indefinitely unless removed separately.

If you also want personal information removed from shared content, describe that content in your email request and include the relevant conversation or content identifier if available. Do not send sensitive attachments. You can ask the contact above about the status and scope of your request, any data still retained, and the reason for retention.
